Writing Assignment
This week's writing assignment should be submitted through the course's blackboard page. To submit it, you should go to the Discussion Board section, then open this week's forum, which is called "Week 15 Assignment". You should begin a new thread in that forum and post your answer to the question there.
You have a choice this week of two possible assignments:
(a) Concisely summarize Roger White's argument for God's existence. If his argument is successful, what kind of God does it prove the existence of?
(b) Concisely summarize David Lewis's argument against the existence of God. If his argument is successful, what kind of God does it prove the nonexistence of?
My main grading criteria will be as follows. (a) Whichever philosopher you choose, you should show that you clearly understand the conclusion they are defending. (b) You should also clearly and accurately summarize their argument for this conclusion, while showing what is convincing about it. (c) Your response should be written in clear and concise, grammatical English, which means that you should spend time carefully editing and proofreading it.
Your answer should be no more than 300 words long. It is due no later than Sunday, December 10th at 11:59pm.
